Bulkteknik Sweden develops, design and constructs silo-solutions in steel to clients with high demands on the handling, loading and storage processes. During a period of 20 years, we have delivered solutions for pellets, feed, grain, lime, cement and chemical products.

Silo capacity of about 200m3 can be pre-fabricated, whereas silos with capacity up to 15,000 m3 are constructed at site. We deliver round silos as well as square ones with corrugated walls. Square silos are preferred when capacity demands are high but the area limited. Bulkteknik constructs welded or bolted galvanized silos ones through our partner Symaga. Bolted silos can be delivered with or without cone and are produced in capacity sizes up to 15,000m3.

Our chain conveyors have a range of applications for most powdered, granular or grain materials, with a transport capacity of more than 300-400 m3 per hour. The chain conveyors are based on a standard range which is adapted to meet customer requirements.

For example, a chain conveyor design can be adapted according to manufacturing material, operational performance, capacity, length and width. The standard range has two different heights – 350 mm and 500 mm – and the width can then be varied. Depending on requirements, a chain conveyor can be manufactured in lengths of more than 50 metres without transfer points. The chain conveyors are available in a range of different materials and finishes, including painted carbon steel, galvanised, acidresistant or stainless steel. In order to dampen noise and reduce wear on the chain, the base plate of the chain conveyor is fitted with HD1000 polyethylene and a spring-loaded tensioner. The chain conveyors can also be fitted with load capacity regulators and various outlet gates.

We can deal with weighing and dosing flows from upwards of 1,000 tonnes per hour down to 1 kg per hour depending on need, application and material.The critical factor is the integration of the scales, control unit and hardware. Both precision and speed are needed in the interaction between filling, weighing and emptying in order to ensure sound production. Our weighing equipment uses load cells of the highest measuring class from leading manufacturers. As mentioned, the combination of speed and precision is vital. This has led to the development of type-approved hopper scales (see picture 4) which can be filled, weighed, emptied and reset up to five times a minute. Other applications include hopper systems with weight dosing for continuous handling or batchhandling.

A bucket elevator is in principle dust proof and can be supplied in a large number of different designs The bucket elevators which comprise our range are adapted to be used in continuous operation with a high level of accessibility and require only a minimum of maintenance. The elevators can be designed and manufactured in heights of up to 100 metres, depending on prerequisites. The products are primarily designed and adapted in accordance with the project’s and the customer’s unique requirements, however, standard products are also available and are used in those cases where this is the preferable solution.
